Biden orders purchase of 100 million more doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine

US President Joseph Biden has instructed the Ministry of Health to purchase another 100 million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s CAVID-19 vaccine.

“Today, I am directing a team from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to produce and purchase another 100 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine,” Biden said.

According to him, this decision is due to the fact that in the situation with in the United States, “a lot can change” and the country should stock up on vaccines.

Biden added that the U.S. is on track to acquire ” sufficient doses of vaccines for every American adult by the end of May this year.”
