Belgium overtook all EU countries in terms of the spread of coronavirus

Belgium has become the country with the highest prevalence of coronavirus in the European Union.

This is evidenced by data from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

Top 5 European countries in terms of the incidence of COVID-19 per 100 thousand inhabitants in the last two weeks:

1. Belgium — 1391.
2. Czech Republic — 1380.
3. Luxembourg — 760.
4. Slovenia — 732.
5. Netherlands — 694.

At the same time, the Czech Republic now has the highest mortality rate from coronavirus infection.

Top 5 European countries in terms of mortality from COVID-19 per 100 thousand people in the last two weeks:

1. Czech Republic — 12.3.
2. Belgium — 5.8.
3. Hungary — 5.5.
4. Romania — 5.2.
5. Spain — 4.1.

In total, 6,269,320 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the EU, and in the UK, 210,953 people died.

Earlier it was reported that 200 airports in Europe are facing closure due to the crown of the crisis.
