Austria has reduced the curfew and relaxed a number of other restrictions

In Austria, since June 10, a new stage of easing restrictions imposed to combat the coronavirus epidemic has begun — curfews are being reduced and limits on the allowed number of visitors to institutions are being increased.

This is reported by Kurier.

Health Minister Wolfgang Muckstein said that with the current infection rates and vaccination rates, there are no obstacles to relief.

The curfew, which until now started at 22: 00, will now be in effect from midnight.

The recommended distance is reduced from 2 meters to 1 meter, and the mask mode on the street is canceled (except for waiters, etc.). At the same time, it is mandatory to wear FFP2 respirators indoors.

Cultural events are allowed with 75% occupancy of the hall capacity, instead of 50%.

In stores, museums, and gyms, the restrictions on the number of visitors are reduced from 20 square meters per person to 10 square meters.

The increase in coronavirus infections in Austria recently fell to the lowest in 9 months — to the level of the end of summer 2020.

More than 54% of adults received at least the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and more than 25% of the adult population received both doses, about the same as the average in the EU.
