Garmin today introduced a feature for its that is not available directly from competitors. This is a new pregnancy monitoring function. It has become available in most Garmin smartwatches.

As Garmin promises, this feature was designed by women for women. With the Garmin Connect app and compatible Garmin watches, you can track your pregnancy, track your baby’s movements, record symptoms, create customizable reminders, and get weekly insights and tips on nutrition, weight gain, and exercise.

Garmin competes with the likes of Apple, Samsung, and Fitbit in the wearable electronics market, but none of these brands offer a “built-in” pregnancy monitoring solution. However, there are third-party solutions for this, like HiMommy or PregLife.

The Pregnancy Tracking Connect IQ app on your watch will allow you to view data on pregnancy progress, baby’s movements, blood sugar levels. In addition, the Contraction Timer Connect IQ app enables expectant mothers and birth attendants to track the duration and frequency of contractions with a watch.

The pregnancy tracking feature is activated in the Garmin Connect app with the menstrual tracking feature, making it easy to switch from keeping track of your menstrual cycle to tracking your current pregnancy.

Compatible Garmin watches — D2 Air, f? Nix 6/5/5 Plus / Chronos series, Forerunner 245/245 Music, Forerunner 645/645 Music, Forerunner 745, 935, 945, MARQ series, Venu series…
