An explosion occurred at a power plant in the Czech Republic

The explosion, which was followed by a fire, occurred at a power plant in the Czech town of Kolin. This was announced on Monday by the CT24 TV channel.

According to preliminary data, the station building was damaged, no one was injured as a result of the incident.

In extinguishing the fire that emerged after the explosion, 10 fire brigades and a helicopter are involved.

As CT24 notes, the power plant supplies electricity and heat to most businesses and homes in Colin, a city of about 32,000 people. The reasons for the incident are being investigated.
