Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, having surpassed Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk once again became the richest man in the world according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Bezos’ fortune increased by $884 million and reached $191 billion on February 16. Musk has “only” $190 billion.
Bezos was in the lead in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index for almost three years — until January 7, 2021. Then he was pushed by Elon Musk.
Jeff Bezos’s fortune has increased significantly in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic as it has given an unprecedented boost to online commerce. Already in May last year, Amazon shares have risen in price by 30% since the beginning of the pandemic.

We add that Bezos demanded $1.7 million from his beloved brother — as compensation for legal costs.
