The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during a speech at the Brussels Forum conference, said that the EU countries vaccinated about 41% of the adult population against coronavirus infection with two doses.
“60% of adults received one vaccination,” she said.
To date, vaccination of minors has already begun in the EU countries.
In addition, it is noted that the European Commission wants to reach the figure of 70% of fully vaccinated adult EU citizens against coronavirus by mid-July.
Earlier, the representative of the European Commission (EC), Christian Wiegand, said during a briefing that the EC confirmed the decision of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the community to cancel quarantine measures for travel within the EU for community citizens who received a full course of vaccination against coronavirus at least two weeks before the trip.
On June 9, the European Parliament at the final vote approved the introduction of a digital COVID certificate in the European Union, confirming the passage of vaccination.
