A helicopter crash in Sinai killed eight people

The death toll in the in Egypt’s South Sinai of a multinational peacekeeping force helicopter has increased to eight. This was announced by the peacekeeping mission, reports Al Arabiya TV channel. Among them are six American servicemen, a French citizen, and a Czech citizen.

The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was on a regular mission and crashed due to a technical malfunction. Everyone on board died.

A multinational force in the Sinai, which has no status, was deployed there in 1982 to oversee the implementation of the 1979 peace treaty between Egypt and . They include military personnel from 12 countries, including Americans.
