10 people killed in COVID hospital fire in Romania

The fire spread through the intensive care unit dedicated to coronavirus patients.




In eastern Romania, in the city of Piatra Neamt, in one of the departments of a hospital for patients with coronavirus COVID-19, there was a fire that killed at least 10 people. This was reported by the Associated Press on Saturday, November 14.

According to Irina Popa, spokesman for the local emergency inspectorate, the fire has spread through the intensive care unit intended for patients with COVID-19.

Currently, employees of special services are working at the scene of the tragedy. The causes of the fire, which has already been extinguished, are not yet known.
